In 2006, following my divorce, I decided to reset my life back to the days before my marriage. To do this, I went to New York—a city where I had spent most of my 20s—and stayed there for three months.
I managed to rent a room cheaply in an apartment shared with a Chinese family. Most of my old friends had already left New York, and with very little money, there were times I stayed shut inside that room for days on end. Days blended into one another without speaking to a single soul.
Then, after one such stretch that lasted over three days, a memory I had long forgotten suddenly surged to the surface. It was the memory of being bullied back in elementary school. In my head, I thought I had already overcome it, that it didn't matter anymore.
But to push that emotion out of my body, I let the tears flow, weeping and retching it out from the back of my throat, from deep within my stomach, my physical being.
That was my very first experience of emotional release.
Years later, in 2009, when I encountered pure essential oils, I experienced something similar to that sensation. As I splashed the oils onto my skin, those forgotten emotions began to float back to the surface.
And so began my exploration into emotional release using essential oils.
The text shared here is the actual material I used in workshops with my clients around 2019. It is packed with the collaborative process between myself and the clients who placed their trust in me.
Emotional release through CRYSTALLIZE is about Comprehending to Cut loose.
Once you understand and accept the situation, letting go happens naturally.
The essential oils are nothing more than a support system.
In the end, you must face yourself, your own life, and understand the unique circumstances of the people who crossed your path.
This step is the most difficult stage.
Yet, this process is the key to avoiding misunderstandings and arrogance.
When you dig deep into the "Why?", it requires an understanding of psychology, sociology, and history.
I'm not saying that I formally studied these subjects, but rather that I realized that various factors lie within them, and that's where the answers for understanding are hidden.
Once emotional release is achieved to a certain degree, you begin to layer new experiences and rebuild a new version of yourself.
And then, you will begin to ask: How do I want to live?
I believe that inquiry is what philosophy is.
As long as you carry unresolved emotional baggage, your ideals and your reality, your mind and your heart, cannot work together smoothly.
Please, do not give up on "yourself."
Shine your light—the only light of its kind in this entire world.
