Overwriting with "New Experiences"

Emotional release is also the process of letting go of the negative "beliefs and assumptions" you have carried up until now.

Once you are able to let go of these old assumptions, the work of integrating "new beliefs" and "new ways of thinking" begins. In this 12-week course, the main focus is on sorting out and clearing away several of your past beliefs. Because of this, we won't quite reach the stage of overwriting them with new experiences. Rather, the program will take you to the point of "opening the door to a new way of thinking," or at least "catching sight of that door."

Overwriting with new experiences is incredibly important, so please do not forget it.

As your habits of living and patterns of thinking begin to change, the scenery you see in life will gradually shift. The landscape you see will slowly change from the one you viewed inside the hard walls of your old "assumptions." Try to imagine each assumption as a single room. Even if you destroy one room, there are still many other rooms left, so breaking one is not the end of the journey. But breaking just one room completely changes the view.

By destroying that room, you might see the ocean, which you couldn't see before. And once you see the ocean, you might start thinking: I want to lie on the beach, I want to swim, I want to go fishing, or I want to watch the sunset. Please go to the ocean by yourself. It doesn't matter if you can't swim or if you don't know how to scuba dive. Just lying on the beach will make you feel something. And while you are lying there, you will see all kinds of new scenery, and new ideas might spark within you.

Even if some odd person approaches you and you end up having a bad experience, that is not a "failure." It is an "experience." As long as it is not life-threatening, it is simply an "experience."

If you destroy the next room, you might discover that the beach was actually right next to a garbage dump. Or, you might find a diving shop where you can learn to dive. If you destroy yet another room, you might find a boat that takes you to a different island. But if you go to the beach the moment you destroy the very first room, you will see these new landscapes much faster.

Through your own "conscious choices" and "actions," the landscape of your life will rapidly change. The "resources" you need to measure things—which is "experience"—will increase, and these experiences will continuously overwrite your old assumptions. Just as negative thoughts were programmed into you over time, you can program new, positive patterns into yourself by having new experiences over and over again. To achieve this, there is nothing but "action." Even if it feels scary at first, dive in to program these new experiences into your life.

If you have been able to release your negative, hardened assumptions step by step, the new beliefs that get programmed into you will naturally turn positive. Once you are liberated from a narrow perspective and rigid values, you will be able to see things from many different angles. You will find several good things or valuable fertilizer even in events that seem bad at first glance, turning them into "experiences." Five or ten years from now, you might look back and wonder: "Why did the old me think that way? Why did I make living so difficult for myself?" If you can reach that state, then "Emotional Release with Aroma" has been a massive, wild success.
