If a tree is allowed to bask in the sunlight without any obstacles, get enough water, and shed its unnecessary branches, it will grow into a straight, large, sturdy trunk. However, if there are obstacles in its path, it will grow toward the sun by bending and curving to avoid them. I feel that the human mind works in the same way; depending on our circumstances and conditions, there is a mechanism where "if this happens, then that is the result."
Within various conditions and situations, we try to live our lives as the tree of "ourselves." Yet, along the way, we receive all kinds of influences, causing us to become warped or off-balance. Those who were respected and raised with care in their childhood grow up believing they are valuable individuals. On the other hand, those who were treated negatively, or showered with such words, often feel negative about themselves or lack self-confidence. The self-image, mindset, and "common sense" a person develops are heavily influenced by their environment and past experiences.
During this course, please set aside about one hour of your time every day just for yourself. If every day is impossible, five days a week is fine. Dedicate this time to the assignments of the "Emotional Release with Aroma Course" and the work of "feeling yourself."
This is "time spent with yourself." Cut off the flood of external information from the TV and your smartphone, and spend the time with yourself. Feel yourself, listen to yourself, and try having a conversation with yourself.
I feel that many emotional problems stem from our relationships with our parents. There are many keys there that created our "difficulty in living."
For example,
Not being respected
Not being allowed to depend on or be babied by them
Not being understood
Not being loved... Why do these emotions still linger within you today?
We will untangle your parents' own lives, analyzing the "why" with the imagination and understanding of an "adult."
During the first two to three weeks of the course, by hearing about the home environment you grew up in, your relationship with your parents, and—if necessary—the relationship between your parents and their parents, as well as the historical and family backgrounds, we will look for your family's story and what was passed down or influenced you through it, and decide where to focus.
For example, because your parents grew up under separate environments and conditions, the influence you received from your father is different from the influence you received from your mother. Even if you have emotional problems or triggers tied to both parents, we will first focus on just one of them—either your father or your mother.
In most cases, this process is the biggest mountain to climb in the course. What we can do in 12 weeks is limited. Even after the program ends, various emotions regarding your parents will surface. Please grab hints for getting through them.
Once you can understand this part, the landscape of your life will change.
There was a program that became the basis of this "Emotional Release with Aroma Course"—an "Emotional Release Program" I built as "a menu that could be done even while staying in Cuba, an inconvenient country." At the time, I had to line up in long queues at the phone office to buy a 1-hour Wi-Fi card for $4 (which went down to $1 in 2018), with a limit of only three cards per purchase, and then use the internet at public hotspots. That was where I racked my brain and designed this 12-week, email-based "Emotional Release Program."
However, once I got started, I discovered many unexpected benefits of "writing." By writing, clients were able to look back at themselves calmly, as if confirming things again. Writing also helped them organize their thoughts and situations, and sometimes they would notice something while writing. Writing brings about a "dialogue with oneself." Those who have many things they want to let out or want me to hear submit reports packed with text, without paragraph breaks. Even from those reports, I can grasp the state of their heart and emotions. By reading back through their own reports at the end of the program, they can see the change in their own state. For me, too, the reports allowed me to re-confirm the flow of a person's story and state of mind. I realized there were many advantages over "talking" sessions, where words are unorganized and simply vanish once spoken. Years later, I found a book written by a psychiatrist stating that "writing" is very effective for recovery from Borderline Personality Disorder.
In emotional release work, writing has many benefits. So, if you feel that writing is your "weak suit," all the more reason to try it.
Rules for the Emotional Release Course reports:
Submit your report every week by your designated deadline. I will reply within 1 to 2 days with feedback, your assignment for the following week, and your custom oil menu.
・We use Google Docs. By installing the app, you can access, write, and edit your reports from your smartphone or tablet (a Gmail account is required).
<Google Docs https://www.google.com/intl/ja/docs/about/ >
・Between 20 lines and a maximum of 3 pages (A4 size)
Even when you have a lot to say, please keep it within 3 pages (approximately 3,500 Japanese characters). On weeks when you don't feel like writing or feel like you have nothing to write, even just 20 lines sharing your physical sensations when using the oils is perfectly fine.
